Honda F1 Factory Tours
Ladies and Gents,
I still have one or two places left on each of this years Honda F1 factory tours. The dates are 17/3/06, 23/6/06, 15/9/06 and 8/12/06 If you would like to be considered drop me an e-mail asap to s.c.green@btinternet.com as I operate on a first come, first served basis. Unfortunately you will not be able to take a friend or family member to this one as places are limited to 10 per tour. I have been promised some tours of the Prodrive factory later this year so keep your eyes peeled for that one! |

Just a quick update. March and June dates are now closed. There are still one or two places left in September and December has about 6 left (I think) so if you want to get your name on the list, drop me an e-mail urgently.

I went on one of the tours last year with a couple of other marshals from Oulton Park. We all thought it was a VERY interesting insight into the running of an F1 team/factory. The tour only lasted between 1 to 2 hours but it was well worth the 3hr trip each way.
If you can make it to one of the dates I'd highly recommend it. Rob |

Prodrive is a brilliant tour to do, if you can get access. One of my friends runs the Carbon fibre division which does not only the Prodrive stuff but some of the Honda F1 bits. I was really lucky to be able to go last year, just after they launched the new Subaru rally car. The heads of various depts took time to talk to me and my other half and cannot be praised enough for their effort. Nothing was too much trouble. I think the fact that I was a competitior and knew what I was looking at made a difference.
Hats off to Dave Richards and the team; love to see them in F1. It would be a breath of fresh air. You try getting a job there! Very hard! They get so many applications. |

Thanks Stephen - you have my email for the Sept date for me & the Mrs!
Been on a visit to the Jordan factory about two years ago - that was very interesting but I expected it all to be much bigger and more of a clinical environment. We met EJ, as we parked next to his Range Rover on the car park - nice fella! So, looking forward to meeting anyone who's going in September! |

Due to a last minute cancellation, I have a spare place for this Fridays (17/3/06) Hondas F1 factory tour. It starts at 15.00 and lasts for between 60-90 minutes. The first person (marshals only please) to e-mail me at s.c.green@btinternet.com gets the place...
Get those fingers working the keyboards......... |

It's gone now. Sorry to those who e-mailed and who I was unable to help out on this occasion. If there are any other cancellations, I will post them in this thread so keep your eyes peeled.

Stephen,
Thanks very much for arranging this tour at Honda F1. It was a great insight into the running of an F1 factory and a real eye opener. I'd recommend it to everyone. R. |

Thanks, it was my pleasure and I am glad it was everything you had hoped for. Sadly all the visits for this year are now full but I am waiting to hear from Prodrive regarding tours to their factory.
Unfortunately McLaren declined to offer the BMMC any factory tours as they already support the BRDC Marshals Club. Red Bull have yet to answer my letter, but I won't give up just yet. |

I was a little worried when I added you to the list but assumed (correctly as it would seem) that Nadine would keep you on a tight leash. Naturally I checked that there were no Tesco stores in the local area before letting you go

I too would like to thank you Stephen for arranging this visit. It was great to able to see why F1 costs so much and now I understand much better!
In terms of Tesco stores, there was actually one dead opposite the Honda F1 Factory!!!!! |
