There's no ovals in the Stock Car Brasil. Curitiba and Tarumã are the fastest courses, I think.

Good series I reckon, full grids, close times, 15 different winners in 2014...

Yes! Some drivers have been announced:

Vitantonio Liuzzi (F Lapenna)
Jacques Villeneuve (R Zonta)
Laurens Vanthoor (V Brito)
Néstor Girolami (R Mauricio)

Some guest drivers are Brazilian, but that's hardly a bad thing:

Ingo Hoffmann (R Barrichello)
Vitor Meira (M Wilson)
Enrique Bernoldi (G Casagrande)
David Muffatto (R Matos)

Cool.

Ingo Hoffmann, what a blast from the past.

What's the situation for Vitor Meira, does he have a ride somewhere else?

According to Wikipedia, Vitor Meira will race a Ford Focus at the Campeonato Brasileiro de Marcas - Copa Petrobras for Amir Nasr.

Good for him. Thanks.

The sad racing nerd inside me is kind of fascinated to hear about Ingo's comeback. I mean, he's a guy who used to race in F1 almost 40 years ago, sharing the same piece of track as Ronnie Peterson. If only there was a racing version of the 6 degrees of Kevin Bacon/Black Sabbath game(here's wishing...), he would be a very good link I reckon. This is quite fitting that he is sharing his ride with Barrichello, who would also be a pretty good link with his F1 starts record.

Hoffmann is a legend, no question about that.

I've read somewhere that he was criticised in Brazil for racing so long there, rather than keep in Europe in sports car racing or so. Or perhaps I just read another blogger that complains about the media.

I'd like to see the Juan Pablo Montoya, Eliseo Salazar and Stéphane Sarrazin indexes.

Of course it won't happen, but I'd like to see Augusto Farfus in Stock Car Brasil. I'd also like to see Rubens Barrichello in DTM

In any case, I finally have to watch Stock Car Brasil this year. Really looks and feels like what DTM ought to be.

An only marginally manufacturer supported spec series with only two different silhouettes? Thank you, but I'll take the well-supported spec series over that. And I am not much of a DTM-fan...

Well, normally I'd say that the on-track product by Stock Car Brasil is better, but I haven't watched it yet, so I won't say anything like that. So pardon my populist opinion.

On the other hand, I fail to see why a marginally supported manufacturer series is worse than one like the DTM. Maybe I watched too much DTM over the years, but I'm slightly more critical towards manufacturers.

Have you watched any BSC races though? I didn't watch any '14 DTM races iso I can't compare it to BSC. But I watched every '14 BSC race and it was a very good season.

I advocate another road to the Stock Car championship of the Vicar. Perhaps the best option was to meet with the leaders of the main Tour tournaments in South America, such as Argentina, Uruguay, Colombia and Venezuela to create a car more or less standard for everyone. The idea is to just reduce costs. Thus, if a Brazilian team is closing the doors and left equipment, could sell for a colleague of the continent. Anyone considering expanding participation in the Stock Car could buy a machine being used in another championship. This would also benefit all suppliers, which would produce parts in even larger scale. The Stock Car have a new car in 2016, Argentina could put it only in 2018, Colombia in 2019 and so on, as each category is understood that at the right time to replace the equipment. Consequently, it would be possible to have guests from other countries in special races. Race of A Million, for example, receive an Argentine team or the race in pairs count on an Uruguayan partnership. Even a team Stock Car could be part of the 200 km of Buenos Aires, as several riders in the country already compete there.

Isn't Stock Car or Super TC2000 not to expensive for countries other than Brazil and Argentina?

TC2000 rules are somewhat taken over by Brazil.

Aren't Colombia and Venezuela on board with TCR?

Is "AMG Motorsport" and "Mobil Super Racing" the same team?
I guess today Mobil is the sponsor of AMG - If I see right, in 2011 both were different teams...?

Yes but my question is about the brazilian team "AMG Motorsport", which has nothing to do with Mercedes-Benz AMG/HWA.
