just a couple of things that have come to my attention this week.
Team Rafanelli's Lola (see funky new Lola topic) was crashed last week by Mimmo Schiatarella at Valencia in Spain..apparentl there were problems with steering and Mimmo was unable to avoid hitting a wall..they will repair the car and do some back to back tests with their old Riley and Scott chassis..but they are pleased with the initial testing they have done so far. Cor Euser will probably abandon his plans to race the Marcos Mantara LM600 in the FIA GT series after it failed Homoligation last week apparently it was something to do with the differences betwwen the race car and the road car but an official decision will be made by the 15th of march. Roock racing will run a Lola SR2 in the ALMS with a Volkswagon 2 litre turbo engine..they have denied reports that this is Volkswagons official program..Fabian Roock believes the car will be competitive over the whole year but fail at 1 or 2 tracks because of the less power they will have but it has better fuel consumption is lighter is better on brakes so over a distance it should stand up reasonably well. |

Cor Euser's Mantara LM600 has been given special dispensation to race in the Championship until June 1. Homologation may or may not take place then
