It's the thought that counts!!!

What a fantastic gesture the 750MC made - to THINK about marshal's welfare!!! The flask is one thing, but to then have gone to the effort of filling it with hot water, distributing it when spirits were starting to flag, and provide soup or hot chocolate sachets to go with it really extends the hand of friendship

Thank you very much - it's very much appreciated, and I aim to do as many days as I can with you next year!!!!

Only one problem - the cuddlies are jealous!

Seems to be typical of the club to think of something like this, and it's very much appreciated. It doesn't even cost them a lot. Well done 750MC, you'll see more of me next year.

Just why do 750MC get it right so often & other large clubs make so many fundamental errors ?? Look what 750s do correctly.......the right low cost series ( scrapping series that fail to produce good grids); excellent spirit within the drivers so that most travel distances to pursue a series; plenty of races; wonderful appreciation of its marshalling forces.
I will marshall at more next year. I like full grids, lots of races and appreciation. Not a lot!
Lets hope that other major club officials read these postings and look to themselves.........

I too send my thanks for a really thoughtful gesture. Things like this show that organisers (at least some of them) do actually consider us and are mindful of our needs. The flask will be a useful reminder to me which clubs to support when form-filing time comes around! 750MC and MGCC will be getting the lions share of my days next year.

It was indeed a bl**dy cold day at Silverstone but I must echo the sentiments of above. To go to the trouble of filling each flask with hot water then repackaging them along with a note of explanation and thanks AND a spoon shows just what the 750 club is made of...thanks to everyone who made it happen.

Do we know if every marshal who has done 750 meetings this year is getting a flask or was it for the Silverstone meeting only. Well done 750 you are up there with my list of good clubs and a little appreciation goes along way.

I've done a couple of 750 meetings this year & have been impressed with the appreciation shown - how many other clubs send a letter of thanks to marshals after each meeting? I will definitely be doing more 750 meetings next year.

Not many clubs send a letter of thanks but they do show their appreciation in other ways, maybe not to the extent that 750 do but BRSCC give us all a free pint at Mallory BARC HQ always run a raffle and BARC Midlands provide lunch for marshals at the Curborough and Hethel sprints, not to mention a gift at the end of the season to those marshals who have marshalled at all 4 sprints.

750 did the same @ oulton park this year when it was a red hot day. they came round with cans of coke. and also sent a letter apologising for the meeting running over, cos of rain and formula vee's(typical settled consistent british weather).
i will be at all their north west circuit meetings next year.
