NASCAR Cup Round 16: Toyota/Save Mart 350-Infineon Raceway
SONOMA.
Wine country. Jayski ENTRY "Ringers": Boris Tony Ave PJ Jones Tomy Drissi Andy Pilgram Brian Simo Not a ringer, but back on an entry is Texas Terry. Not on the list, but used to be a ringer is Ron Fellows; reckon he is busy? Gonna miss that guy everywhere he has been! Taz and John Paul have to be my favorites. I also look for Andy Lally to have his best Cup appearance ever. Curious to how strong Robby Gordon's cars will be this weekend. PJ and Robby know their way around the Sonoma track, but will need strong cars to be up front. Glad to see Drissi and Pilgram entered; hope they can make the show. 6-8 "Regulars" are always at the top of the road racing time sheets. Glad to have a full field, for a change. Should've thrown Kimi in one! The fun begins tomorrow... |

Marcos needs to take this one I think, he is long over due for some luck on the road courses and I think he has the right equipment this year to give it a good nudge...

Let's not forget Andy Lally on the "ringers" list, even if he is a full time guy this year.

Logano grabs the pole with Jamie Mac outside.
LINEUP Taz rolls off 8th; good enough. John Paul starts 17th and Boris is mired back 30th. Tony Ave only DNQ. |

JPM disappointing
Sonoma and Road Atlanta on the same weekend. Is NASCAR doing this on purpose because they are afraid road course racing becomes to popular? |

Road America was fun to watch towards the end... Looking forward to the cup race, fingers crossed for the #9!

Is the #9 & his team lost or being very conservative until races end?

Kurt Busch dominated - Gordon & Edwards suprised with track position at the end, Bowyer & Ambrose finish top 5....
Gotta love the way "Cup" drivers just dump each other of the track & there are no pitlane drive thru's etc - just payback on the track & then they move on... |

Did McDowell think Ambrose was still in the #47?
especially when the recipient of the dumping gets out of their car and admit they had it coming |

Gotta love the way issues are handled on the track - makes for a real result rather than reading later that "Car ## was docked 25 points for.............".
Wondering why Ambrose pitted at the last caution when he had good track position... Worked for others and might have seen him finish a couple of spots higher - I don't think anyone was going to worry Busch today... |

You don't mind issues being dealt with on track, but I am unsure what issue Keselowski had!
Good race though, entertaining. I picked a good Sunday to have off work! |

Think the commentators said the #42 put 2 of Keselowski's wheels of the track in the over-taking move - either that or the #4 was on the radio to the #2

I think Marcos knew 2nd was the best he could do without new tyres and took a punt - a couple of yellows in the last 10 laps and it might have paid off.

Good to see a Penske car in victory lane on a road course again; the 22 team was absolutely dominant.
Got pretty feisty there at the end, and I thought TNT did an excellent job egging on the "drama". |

Montoya's move on Kahne was dreadful, but Keselowski had no right to do what he did either. Saw it coming mind. |
