MSVR Cadwell Park 21/22nd May 2011

Thought i'd start a "so who is going" thread on this one. Got my tickets & timetable through the other day, looks a good weekend although i'd have prefered the early finish on the Sunday rather than Saturday. Doesn't matter greatly 'cos i'm taking Monday off work anyway Who plans to stay over on Fri / Sat night? The YHA place is being refurbed until June so i might unravel the tent for the weekend, or just slum it in the boot of the mighty Yaris.

I'll be there and it looks as though there will be "sufficient" colleagues in orange too.

Regrettably, tickets have had to go back today, sorry David. Real life getting in the way of fun, unfortunately.

I will get back to Cadwell at some point (ridiculously close to home, but always the wrong weekends!).

I remember turning up one year and there were 23 marshals. I was shocked, but everyone else considered it a good turn out!

Boosting the numbers in orange, I'm coming up again soon after the 750MC and BRSCC meeting [ and hoping for even more cars!] with Lord Percy, Baldrick, Danny F ,Liam the Grey and 6 assorted southern Softies .
We just know it's the finest circuit to marshal at and it's worth all the travelling a couple of times a year. And two nights of respectable debauchery in Louth, of course.
I think I can safely say we are looking forward to assisting MSVR, David Owen et al.
It's as good a weekend as the Goodwood Revival weekend but without the crowds!!

Oh you are going to love it! Craziest, most fantastic circuit in the country. Oulton & Anglesey are special but Cadwell is that one little step further, shame it's so far away.

deadsquirrel - nope, nowhere near as flexible as i was in my youth but just as short

Looks like we'll "only" have one job per marshal at this rate, is that some sort of record? Long may it continue!

I will be making my first trip to Cadwell Park this weekend. I'm attending on the Sunday, going to be quite busy reporting, but if you see me, give me a shout.

Like others, I'm looking forward to a good mix of cars taking to the track.

Edit: Just noticed this is a post in the marshall's forum so excuse the error!

Hopefully tickets are coming out from MSVR direct. I know Gemma has been out of the office until today so hopefully those of you still waiting will get them soon.

Its well worth the trip, trust me. In the last few weeks i've done Preston to Anglesey & Preston to Snetterton so the fuel bill is taking a hammering. Best part of a ton just for the Snet trip, but if i didn't do it i'd be bored and miserable at home. Its the best way to forget about all the crap at work too, and cheaper than therapy!

Looking good from my point of view.

A few people may not have got tickets yet but that might be that you haven't volunteered yet!!! (Anyone else let me know and I will guarantee admittance).

Here's to a great weekend of racing
