GCCheddaris should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
John Walker

Australian racing driver John Walker has passed away. John was the winner of the1979 Gold Star series as well as that year's Australian Grand Prix. He was also in contention for the 1975 Tasman series being equal on points with Graeme Lawrence and eventual winner Warwick Brown going into the final round at Sandown. Unfortunately John had a huge accident on the first lap in his Repco powered Lola T332, demolishing many metres of the adjacent horse racing track's running rail. Apart from being knocked out he escaped largely unhurt. R.I.P.
