Spencer's Special Shocks
Anyone know what was so special about Todd Bodine and Jimmy Spencer's shocks that caused them to be banned?

shocks banned ????
i think thats its a differance in the manufacturing of the shocks they might not be that much differant then the others but they might not be approved by N.A.S.C.A.R like engine parts all are to be approved ! So Todd Bodine and Jimmy Spencer's shocks are differant then them of D.E.I or penskie on the grounds that there not approved

TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTION, THE MAIN SHAFT WAS A BIGGER RADIUS THAN MOST SHOCKS. IN LAMENS TERMS YOU COULD PROBABLY SAY IT WAS A BIT MORE "BEEFY" THAN THE REGULAR SHOCKS TEAMS HAVE ALWAYS USED. I THINK NASCAR JUST PULLED THE PLUG TO KEEP OTHER TEAMS FROM USING THE NEW TECHNOLOGY IN AN ATTEMPT TO CAP THE COST INCREASE OF THE NEW SHOCKS. EVERY NEW TRICK COSTS MONEY, AND ONCE SOMETHING BETTER IS DISCOVERED, TEAMS HAVE TO HAVE IT IN ORDER TO KEEP UP.
