A bit more info could have been helpful....

Gregg died late 96 or early 97 (can't recall the exact date) - was over the weekend of an Oran Park round - that much I can remember.

He said that he had "herd he died" I was confirming that he had. He did not ask for any more.

Empty your PM RaceTime if you expect people to respond to yours...

Seems someone else agreed with me as the other "poor taste" thread got canned...

Have some respect guys, we don't need to discuss this any further do we ??

Regards,
Paul...

Nothing at all, i simply tried to respond to your PM...
No beef here, i can't be f@cked typing out a response again to your PM though... All i will say is you don't seem to have much respect.

read into messages what you like - however respect is also accepting what happened not trying to cover it up or ignore what happened.

And - for your information - Gregg and I were reasonably good friends at the time of his death - maybe I hadn't known him as long as others, but that didn't alter a friendship.

Gregg McShane

I know this was an old post but...............
Gregg passed away on 2/8/97 after a long pain battle after smashing his spine at Amaroo park racing bikes long before his car and TV career. Gregg was the first person in Australia to have a spinal fusion operation and it was unfortunately failing.
He had such a love of life and a challenge, Gregg pushed himself for many years intill he made the descision to say good by.
Gregg was like a dad to me after my dad split with mum and can say Gregg wanted people to pass on anything they learn't from him so he would continue to be remembered.

i am after any information anyone may have on Gregg's falcon Sports sedan. I developed this car with Gregg for many years until I left to head to WA and in Greggs death he passedit to Dave, who sold it....!
After that, I believe it went west then possibly back to either tassie or Vic.?
If anyone knows where it is, i'm keen to find out.

Hey BJ, Check out the Australian Sports Sedan website. They have followed the progress of Gregg McShane's XB 2 door. I believe it went to Perth where it was presented in ELF oil colours, then it was purchased by the current owner who lives in Vic somewhere. He tells a 'funny' story of how he purchased it with a new engine with 1 million horsepower, then after the first 6 laps at Phillip Island in practice, the underpowered 351 shat itself on the front straight!

The last time I saw it was at Oran Pk for the final Sports Sedan meeting. It is now painted yellow, with an XA front clip and a massive front spoiler, other than that it looked to be in the similar style as to when Gregg had it.

Info on Gregg McShane XB Coupe

Thanks for that.
I saw a pic of what was claimed as an XB but it had an XA nose on it and I dismissed it.

I'll keep looking.

Anyone else with info please forward it through.

Cheers
