Volvo 03
Volvo will run only 2 cars again next year after failing to get adequate sponsorship to run a third car. Here's something to laugh about. Rydell's penalty at estoril was for over taking car #9. however there is no car #9 in the series, Ekblom was #10 and a single car team. farce!

Don't know where you have got this from, Autosport I suppose. But from what I have heard in Sweden from both Volvo and Rydell nothing is set yet on how many cars they will drive.

I really can't believe what Volvo's thinking of if they only run two cars, with Alfa and BMW have multiple numbers of cars on the grid. Do Volvo just want to be also rans??

Amazing - Volvo talking about needing sponsorship, I guess this must be part of Ford's cost cutting.

The S60s seemed pretty lght on sponsors this year. Hardly any official Volvo signage.
Where is Ericsson, or some other big Swedish firm that can give them big money. I reckon the problem is that James hanson has to go. He just hasn't go it. Put Jan Nilsson in the second car! |

It seems most likely that we will see four S60's next year. Could be less, could be more though...
Team one the current one with Rydell and another driver behind the wheel. Hanson will probably go, but there is no official word yet on who will take the place. Team two. Could be run by Flash Engineering and with some support and help from Prodrive. If run by Flash Engineering Janne "Flash" Nilsson will of course be behind the wheel and probably with another Swede behind the wheel. Sandström, Edman, etc... Speculations, speculations... |

Ericsson merged with Sony I believe, so perhaps their marketing strategies have changed.

OTOH, if memory serves me correctly, the BMWs don't exactly have a tonne of signage either? They're largely supported by the national distributors/importers?

Well, I sincerely hope Volvo can scrape together enough money to field as many cars as possible. So what is happening with the BMW/Alfa teams? Are new cars being caught while the older ones are being sold off? Or are they going to reuse/update the cars for one more year before selling them to privateers?
