helterskelter should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Series For Beginners

I was wondering if you know any series with low costs and a decent number of participants in Europe. I would mention the Italian C1 Cup, a championship for Citroen C1s only. Last year you could do the whole championship with 25,000€, but this year it lost the support from the company who created it so it became a little less professional and therefore cheaper, so we go to less than 10,000€. Got any ideas?

The German/European Volkswagen Polo Cup ist very professional i think, but 35.000 Euro is a bit more expansive.
I think they race the whole season with the DTM and maybe this makes it easier to find good sponsors!?

stedevil has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
JTCC is run as a support series to STCC with regs similar to S1600. Last year it had 30 cars and 10 different brands participating.

In Germany there's also a Dacia Logan Cup. IIRC they do 4hour endurance races, so lots of seat-time for you and even if you total the car you haven't destroyed more than 10k€....

My dad might race there, I know a lot about it, what do you need to know?
10tacle, is there a website for the Polo cup or any team I could get in touch with, or is it ran by VW only?
stedevil, again, is there any website I can consult or possibly a team to talk to?
Speed-king than you, I'm already trying to find the contacts for it.
And btw thanks to everyone, huge help, you're so kind

JTCC is part of the STCC webpage

http://www.stcc.se/jtcc/

Unfortunately it's in Swedish only apart from a link to last years tech regs in English
http://www.stcc.se/fileadmin/user_up...tions_2008.pdf

Im sure the STCC media contact can hook you up with both email and phone numbers to most teams.

Good thing about JTCC is that it's fairly low-tech (especially considering it's the one step between nothing/karting and STCC), and not monomake, so you can actually build a car for yourself if you really wanted to. I would be interested to know how much it costs, but it can't be that much.

S1600 cars are not as cheap as they seem to be! If Jtcc is cheap enough I might consider it for 2010
