Fantasy Team Changes

As you know one of the major rules for the league is that no duplicate teams are permitted. Up to now I have been trying to police this myself and if I missed any before a round then I would allow the duplicate teams for that round. However I am now going to change my approach.

It is up to the team owners to ensure that they have a legal team for each round. If a change is submitted that would create a duplicate team it will be ignored. (If I spot it before a round I will let you know )

To make life easier can all team announcements be made in the main Fantasy League thread.

The teams at present are:-

Club 27 Racing (Bourdais, Wilson, Ranger)
Pinnacle Motorsports (AJ, Tracy, Power)
NYM Racing (Bourdais, Tracy, Ranger)
Crunkalicious Viva Mexico Racing (Tracy, Dominguez, Phillipe)
CROOKS MOTORSPORT 06 (A.J., Junqueira, Phillipe)
ANDREW DENMAN RACING (Wilson, Tagliani, Power)
Team Effort (Wilson, Servia, da Matta)
Underwood Racing Enterprises (Tracy, Wilson, Legge)
Nomad Racing (Bourdais, A.J., Phillipe)
Team DBK Knowlsey Racing (Bourdais, Wilson, Clarke)
Team Eurosport (Wilson, da Matta, Power)
Boehm Racing (Wilson, Servia, da Matta)
Pineapple Racing (Bourdais, Servia, Power)
Squadra Ecosse Racing (Bourdais, Wilson, Legge)
Hazard Sport Europe (Tracy, Servia, da Matta)
Team Prodrive (Wilson, A.J., da Matta)
Team Smersh (Tracy, Servia, da Matta)
Bellof Rennsport (Bourdais, Wilson, Heylen)
Omega Motorsports (Bourdais, Junqueira, Power)
Domenech Mecagondena Racing (Bourdais, Servia, Phillipe)
SRM Racing (Bourdais, Servia, Ranger)

Yes I know there are some duplicate teams here.

I see now my change brought me the same team as Hazard Sport. Therefore I regretfully will drop Cristiano da Matta and hire Andrew Ranger. As well Oriol Servia is not performing as well as expected so I will drop him and with the added salary cap room hire AJ Allmendinger.

Team Smersh's new Lineup is thus

Paul Tracy (2.1M)
A.J. Allmendinger (1.8M)
Andrew Ranger (0.6M)

Total of 4.5 Million, and I believe a unduplicated team.

Domenech Mecagondena Racing PR

Domenech Team Looks For Better Results

Following up the events of Toronto, where Nelson Philippe took off his teammate Oriol Servià, it was decided to terminate the Frenchman's contract. However, since we then could not sign anyone else better for that price, we decided to terminate the other Frenchman's contract as well, that of Bourdais. So we signed Allmendinger and da Matta in place of the Frogs. After all, they conquered a part of Catalonia and haven't returned it back. :P

Allmendinger ($1.8)
Servia ($1.7)
Da Matta ($1.2)

That makes it $4.7 million.

It appears that Boehm Racing is trying to pinch our (Team Effort) drivers. What's up with that?

This was one of the duplicates that I noticed while creating the results for this round. I'm sure that they will submit a revised line-up before the next race. If they don't I will use their last legal line-up.

Fortunately Team Effort has an unlimited amount of money thanks to our wealthy owner and although we will stay within the salary cap, we are sure we can find "other" ways to make sure our drivers stay with us. Yacht anyone?

Crunkalicous Viva Mexico is proud to annouce they're new and improved line up;

1. tracy.
2. AJ
3 Phillipe

Shame about mario but we need to stop the downward slide somehow.

Nicky - just warning you that Vasser will not collect you any points since he will not be racing....

I am changing NYM Racing drivers to:
Sebastien Bourdais
AJ Allmendinger
Will Power

Total: 4.9 Million

NickyF1 - those 3 drivers only come to 4.9 mill

You have until first practice to change your mind without using an extra team change your mind (Same rules as the V8 championship)

drewdawg - Thats the team I almost picked for the last round

Er, what do we do the teams that had da Matta?

I for this one waited and saw, but if Carpentier or whoever comes into the 10 perhaps should be valued the same as Cristiano, so as not to de-stablize budgets?

Hazard Sport Europe announces a major shift in it's driver line-up following on from Denver, and pitiful results thus far.

Tracy is dropped after causing too many incidents. Servia is released also from his contract.

With new sponsorship on board, two french drivers, Sebastian Bourdais and Nelson Philippe join the squad.

AJ Allmendinger is also drafted in to replace the injured da Matta.

In short:
Bourdais
Philippe
Allmendinger

(Adds up to $5m)

If a current driver replaces him then naturally he will keep his current value (like Dominguez did when he replaced Cristiano at Dale Coyne); but if it is a newcomer I will follow your suggestion and give the new driver a value of $1.2 million.

Australian Powered Team Looks For Good Results.

Domenech Mecagondena Racing has decided to sign Will Power in place of Da Matta. This makes it an Allmendinger-Servià-Power lineup which costs us $4.3 m and which we hope will leave us at the top of the pile again.
