could it be his best title yet?
The US GP has proven to us that Mick simply has it! I guess he was one of those kids who just won everything! The luck fall to those who work the hardest and well, Mick's eternal luck has paid off.
Could this year be ranked amongst his finest World titles?(if he wins of course, kimi could ice him in Japan) remember his second for Benneton? I feel this year slightly pips it in terms of the a shumi battle. Last edited by paddywic; 29 Sep 2003 at 13:26. |

Well 2002 remains his greatest acheivement, but 2003 has probably been the one he has had to work the hardest for. Let's hope 2004 becomes the one that got away

The first is always the best. In my opinion all the drivers work hard, maybe TGF workest harder but I sure he has more assets then the others.

I feel you create your own luck - so far GPs 6 - Red & 7 are my lucky numbers - is that a paradox?

The 2000 title stands out for me. Season long he had to put up with the weight of the tifosis expectations on his shoulders (he still hadn't won THAT title), his car was slightly inferior to the McLaren and then there was that high pressure decider at Suzuka. He had some impressive wet wins and bounced back in style at Monza after suffering repeated drubbings from McLaren.
2003 has been impressive, though it's not won yet. The similarities between this year and 2000 are startling: in 2000 he won in Montreal and then suffered a horrendous summer before bouncing back at Monza. At Indy he moved to within touching distance of the title. Same thing happened this year - spooky! |
