If the timing data is done well, then I can recover part of the lost information that I will miss from not having F1 digital+

I've 'watched' other live timings in the past and while they have been OK I've always felt they were slightly lacking. Of course the best thing about the F1 digital+ timing was that it wasn't delayed from your picture.

Here's hoping for sector times, speed trap figures, weather reports, etc...

And the Ceefax-esque font an colour scheme!

Good point. I don't know, but I don't expect them to create PDF's live. But that "official GP Data complete results" is excellent.

F1-Live is not bad either. I used to follow quals there because we don't have it televised here in Oz.

That's amazing stuff on the Tag Heuer website - everything you could possibly not need to know!

Come on guys! The 'official' site is being run by the same people who do F1 Magazine, so what do you actually expect?

Its live now.

Initial impressions:
Don't like the Flash intro.
Don't like the black background and white text (its difficult to read).
It could use more of the screen (I have res 1152x864).
Its a little slow.
The info is good but difficult to read (due to the black/white layout).

"A little slow" is an euphemism. It rans like beep-beeeeeep. That could be due to announced launch etc and perhaps half of the Internet is at it..

And don't complain of the rez. I have 1600x1200...

Yeah, the white text is utter beep

The words are too small, the photos too small, a bit blurred.

I like the format of F1live/autosport.com, seem to have much information yet can maintain its tidiness.

it's loading speed can be a bit faster.

The only problem is that the server apparently is down.... Replies to ping, quite fast, but it doesn't "serve" web pages.. Hope it's just teething problems..

It looks awful. I mean, isn't this supposed to be the most exciting and glamorous sport in the world, and they produce a 95% grey website. The fonts are too small, the pictures are too small, the links in the gallery don't work, etc etc. Even the news coverage there looks rather pathetic. I'll use it for the live timing (provided the font is big enough for me to be able to read it), but other than that I'll stick to pitpass.com thank you very much.

That will be great.

The site does seem a little slow at the moment...

The first thing I checked was the photos link. To my disappointment they are the size of a quarter. Oh will there is always www.motorsport.com.

I like the site in general but it does not really stand out in the crowd.

Did anyone check the circuit presentation page? Here I hope that this is NOT their idea of track-map...

PS: On a "plus" side, the speed increased visibly in past half hour...

What happened with the old site "www.formula1.com"? Finally the FOM had takeover the site but, the old website still exists with another name?

I don't know and I don't care. That site was a load of bull presented as the ultimate truth. Only F1racing and ITV-F1 beats them...
