Powernights

Went to Powernights yesterday, was well impressed.

Was not impressed with how i worked my arse off to make sure i had pictures to post that evening.

did them, then tried to post a thread here, and it wouldn't.

not impressed.

so here, attempt number two, powernights pictures here www.flickr.com/photos/jymp

the first load. Also, there's some drag pictures from Shakespeare county raceway on Monday.

Cheers, Jake.

Jake,

Some great shots in there, great to see some creativity in circuit photography and to actually capture the fact that the cars are moving rather than static.

OK, i'm a little biased, you got a great shot of me in the MR2 v MX5 race (Thumbs up one)

Jake,

I think to post and image on here it has to have a direct URL (i.e. http:\\website\pic.jpg). What I have found really useful for forum posts is using PUTFILE.

Go to www.putfile.com create a free account, then select "Upload pictures". You can upload in batches (unlimited I think). You can elect to store them in descriptive folders/albums etc. but the really useful thing is that, once uploaded it gives you a number of links you can use.

If you use the BB: one, copy and post the HTML code directly into a forum post, you get a reasonably small image shown in the body of the forum post which, if you click on it, it takes you to the full sized version stored on the Putfile site. The viewer also has the option to press NEXT/PREV to view other pics in that album.

You get the option to download and there may also be a slideshow option. Here is an example :-

Some great shots there..was going to go to one of the powernights, but never got round to it. I saw the one round at Donington on the tv, it looked like great racing.

Maybe next year

phantom lunger should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Hi,

Does anyone know who was the photographer on the grid during the 30th August powernights meeting? I was on pole in the second formula ford race car number 27 and I asked the photographer to take some shots...trouble is I forgot his name! Can anyone help out? Probably the only time I will ever be on pole and the only reason I was because it was a reverse grid!

Thanks in advance

As Jakob Ebrey was the official agency (I think) there's a fair likelyhood it was one of their snappers, at a guess.
