not a big fan of that racescore readout either covers a third of the screen, surely they could make it a ticker on the bottom or top instead

They spelt Marcos Ambrose as Marcus again you'd think they knew his name by now.

There has to be limit where they can come back from going to a break when something happens.... And I think is one was well and truely over the limited.... Channel 10 did a great job today, give them a break...

Agreed Joe.
I don't find any issues with it, i like Crompton, and the rest of the team is non-too-bad. I far prefer the new position readout as well - it just needs tweeking. |

No complaints from me save the cut to the ad break as Lowndes slides wide at the final turn and Skaife slips underneath leaving us in suspense as to whether Skaife nudged him wide. Longest ad break in a while!

Actually, Mattracer, the first ad break was the longest at 4 minutes even - all the remaining ad breaks were 3 minutes 30 seconds - just that from about the 3rd break they started showing 15 second ads as well as the usual 30 second ones - so it seemed longer.
Keep an eye on RaceNews for a detailed breakdown after tomorrows race... Last edited by RaceTime; 20 Mar 2004 at 11:38. |

Bill Woods mind or is it his writer that comes up with wierd jokes that aren't funny like when todd kelly's rear spring was on the track and he came out with the call " i thought it was autumn not spring" He also made another call but i forget. What is your views on this

Their commentary seems to get more inane with every race, surely in all of Australia Channel 10 could find a half decent commentator to keep us informed of what is going on.

I like the way Bill Woods said that the 888 cars where quicker than the FPR and that 888 had done such a good job but the FPR cars were both running ahead of the 888 cars. And did anyone else like the mention of the $100,000 engine in Lowndes car??

The more things change the worse it gets on 10.
I can handle Crompton and Oastler, but Bill Woods, come on........ His best call was at the Grand Prix, when talking about Jack Brabham, he said "...Jack did great thing for Coopers, for those who know their history..." Bill obviously didn't, the team name is actually Cooper. And he made the same mistake numerous times. All three of them need to be told that they are TV Commentaters. What is the point of telling us stuff that we can see, they need to be telling us stuff that we can't see, info that isn't on screen. All 3 also need to stop overhyping everything. I toyed with the idea of doing it over further rounds, but then realised starting mid way through the year wouldn't really be the way to go - so decided to start with this season and attempt to do the complete season If it was you that emailed them - thanks - if not - thanks again |

RaceTime...Did you pick-up C10 points stuff-up...MSN did the same thing 2 issues ago...Bathurst and Sandown have a different points structure to all other rounds as with last year...
Normal round 192pts for the winner then 6 less for each place to 32nd. Endurance rounds 192pts for the winner then 4 less for each place to 32nd. And how was the view of Seton, and Oastler waffling about Besnard...Just because Seton is running FPV down the side of the car... C10 need to do some more home-work... Cheers |

No - I run my own points allocaiton according to the Series Regs - I recall receiving emails about the points stuff up, I then mentioned this on the forums and, once again, my name was mud with AVESCO - but really - I didn't give a rats - if they can't get their own points system right then they shouldn't be attempting to look after a category (We did manage to alert MotorSport News at the time and they corrected their - AA - well they couldn't be bothered returning a phone call
My main problem comes from the fact that Natsoft *refuse* to publish lap times over 10 minutes - like they have made the decision for everyone else that no one wants to know those times! We had to re-write our software to do Natsofts work for them.... |

I wish 10 would get rid of that headbanging music they have to play every single time they get a chance, they even play it over an interview.

thanks for the ticker CH10 good stuff, but shouldnt the interviewer ask a driver thats just had a big shunt how he is rather than trying to get the drivers to cough up some dirt all the time !

And the closing package over the credits is woeful.
'allo 'allo? They've turned the drivers into performing monkeys, waving their hands in the air to that dodgy song... |
