I will be very surprised if they get on the grid... bugger all cars, no testing and a lack of official info being released. Doesn't look good.

well at least it gives you all something to moan and whinge about for the next few months......is has actually never been any different...in the heyday of NZV8's only one or two pro's ever put releases and updates out and as for support classes most of those competitors are way short of 'nowse' when it comes to promoting and updating what they do.........but thanks to the poster it gives another thread to criticise NZV8's-msp and mnz ...and i am sure V8ST wont escape either...............oh joy

Harcey, just stating the obvious mate... I would love to see a full field of NZV8's but things aren't looking good, are they? and I am hearing most of the decent supports have gone to V8ST. We all love V8's but having two V8 Catagories in NZ will never work.... Shame but the truth..

SIES is looking very healthy even grabbing a few a few mentions in places normally only tier 1/ST get a look in with their rather fat prize package. of course this just in time for me to be on the other side of the cook straight.

V8 Challenge Cup are NZV8s with different tyres

Central Muscle Cars.. run the Manfeild round. they don't do the full tier 1 series.

so the Utes have swapped series. odd move for them with the st calendar being so spread out? hopefully they get a better tv deal than what the other st supports do.

Utes to ST interesting will help the show be much better for the ST supporters and will allow the meetings to fill in some of the space, Central Muscle cars are they running at more rounds? I was at the speedshow and someone said to me that they are looking at 15 - 20 challenge cup cars for Taupo which would be awesome. I guess the question is who is next to move across I think a class like GT1 would be great but over the last summer series there were to many runners that only ran at 1 or 2 meetings which lost some of the shine on the class.

Does anyone know much about the superstars class, I see you have posted one of the cars Promax, they seem to have a pretty good championship loads of good drivers lots of different cars. How do they achieve parity?

There is the issue of the old NZV8, the New Generation NZV8, the Utes and the Suzuki not qualifying with MSNZ's criteria in order to be run as Gold Star Championship classes in the 2012/13 season. It doesn't mean they can't race in Tier 1 but they can't be classified as a Championship class if MSNZ adhere to the current regulations.

It's a Cadillac. That particular car runs in the Italian Superstars series which is kind of like the old DTM series and the racing is pretty good.

You can buy Cadillacs here in the USA with up to 556hp.

I'm not including classics like the '67 Camaro SS, any late '60's Mustang or the '56 Corvette in my statement of ugliness, but it pretty much covers everything else.

Modern day Camaro is fine but is just a Monaro in a frock which is trying to look like a '67 SS....

Cadillac have never ever made anything other than extremely horrible looking cars, no matter how hard they try...

races used to be shown on skysports a few years back. there are a number of videos of the series on youtube.. if you're interested in seeing them in action. the cars look and sound the part! not sure how they achieve parity though.. looking at their wiki page they certainly have a good mix of V8 engines.

I do remember watching the series a few years back thought it was a great series far better the the FIA WTCC we get now on sky, which seems to be more fluff than actual racing. I see Superstars featured on Autosport website normally and some top notch drivers are in the series but I thought that looking at something like that may show the way to parity so you don't need to reinvent the wheel
