3 race formats?

is this good? or is it goofy? what are they trying to do with the 3 race format besides getting a new TOCA Driver game for PS2...

we had 3 sprint races at v8 supercar rounds up until 2001/02 - quite boring 3 x 20 minute races..... better to have 2 x 150km races - but you need big grid #'s aswell.
btcc need atleast 20 competitive touring cars (not including production cars)....

1 sprint, 1 reverse grid, 1 long race? Enough variety? Or perhaps a race where the grid is determined randomly??

The random race would only be okay by me if it didn't count for championship points. Luck shouldn't enter into things.

I like the new format, but I think maye the entire grid should be reversed, and not just the top 10. It strikes me as silly that the guy who finishes 10th starts up front, whereas the guy finishing 11th is stuck down the grid, as well as not having got points in the first race.

so it'll be super fast sprint races i take it, this could be fun, I sis like the sprint race and the long race format, if Positions for the second race are from the 1st's results that could be fun, it is like one big race with out pitstops in the equation...or are they gooing to throw in mandatory stops?

No pit stops I'm afraid! ETCC cars have road-car like wheels nuts (5).
Surprised they havent started bickering with the FIA about that too!
(read my post in "MG ETCC" thread to understand what I mean!)

Give them time - they have to have something to bicker about! (eventually they'll bicker about everything).
