If it's the same show as has been shown on Discovery Channel... Last edited by ASCII Man; 2 Jan 2005 at 17:59. |

Its not no, but its far nicer than most of the cars that were on the show itself (from what i saw of it) and much more practicle than 'chitty chitty bang bang'

chitty chitty bang bang not practical? You'd never need to use a ferry to go to France, you could fly over traffic....
but it dosn't have a hood. |

Incidentally, there was a Love Bug TV show so Herbie is eligible.
But, my choice has to be a Capri. And another Capri. |

On the Sky One show, The General Lee from the Dukes of Hazzard got it.
I would have said the Trotters Van but there you go, and the Dino vs DB2 race through some picturesque place was absolutley amazing I think. You could watch that all day. |

Another car no-one has mentioned is the Lotus 7 from The Prisoner. It's in the title sequence and a couple of episodes and also features in the publicity for the DVD collection etc. I think Lotus and Caterham have used it in advertising also. |

A colleague at work is a good friend of Peter Nelson, artist and owner of the Cars of the Stars motor museum in Keswick.
http://members.aol.com/cotsmm/cots.html The website's a bit out of date actually. There's a few new cars on show, in fact to house them all a second museum has opened in Scotland, in Ingliston, 7 miles west of Edinburgh. If there's enough interest, we could arrange a trip? The idea is that they "grudge" race from Nice International airport and arrive in a dead-heat at the Royale hotel in Monte Carlo. Naturally my money would be on the Aston, a 1970 DBS Vantage. More of a car than any Dino Ferrari... |
