Alonso and not as a sympathy vote because of the penalty. He drive superbly throughout the race and I thought his race craft was excellent, keeping his car within DRS, which enabled him to make up for the initial 5 second penalty.

Checo. Pole. Ran the race start to finish and just about faultless in his performance. On a day when there were no heroic or outstanding performances relative to car performance he deserves it.

Checo was great but he's driving a car that makes it easy. I give it to Alonso for the second race in a row. Kudos to Checo of course and also to Piastri and Sargent. Once again, Max did what I expected him to - aided by the farcical DRS.
POTR award goes to the FIA for the safety car and the Alonso idiocy. (P = Plonkers, by the way). |

I can't award it to Pérez as he didn't have Verstappen alongisde from the beginning. Beating him then would be something to behold.
Maybe Magnussen for actually making an old school pass, but he was close to Hulkenberg, so the Haas was a capable points-scorer this weekend. I plumped for Russell - beat Hamilton and ran Alonso pretty close. |

Oscar FTW! Great performance over the weekend, pity the wing change cost him, but man is he a tyre whisperer or what?! I'll be interested to see how the journos rate his weekend. I'd rate him 9/10, taking a point for brushing the wall in quali. Probably should give him a couple of bonus points for beating his teammate in quali and the race - 11/10? Yeah that sounds about right ...

Fernando for his calm and relaxed approach, both on and off the track, and for clearly inspiring the team to perform!

Even though his 'comeback' was like taking candy from babies? The phrase (or similar) was actually used during the C4 commentary and was exactly right.

I voted Fernando because I love Fernando, but also for knowing who to fight and doing it the most measured and calm way.
Kudos to Checo for a great win. I most confess I just tried to ignore McLaren, as it pains me too much, but looking at it afterward Piastri did quite well, didn't he? Sure beats DR. |

Sergio, kudos to Alonso and Russell. See issues between Max and Sergio before the end of this season.
