There's a feature in this weeks Autosport, 'three wise men'. In there Rob Bain says he has got 3 manufacturers verbally signed up for next year.

We all know who the manufacturers are going to be.

VAUXHALL
PEUGEOT
ROVER (SECOND HALF OF SEASON)
VOLVO (LAST 3 RACES BUT NOT CONFIRMED)
ALFA ROMEO
LEXUS
can the list go any further!

I reckon official manufacturers entries for 2002 will be:

- VAUXHALL (with reigning champion Yvan Muller and 2001 runner-up Jason Plato)!
- PEUGEOT
- ROVER
- VOLVO
- ALFA ROMEO
- VW

I doubt VW will enter!

Renault were to return in 2001, and they said so in the Autosport Mag that they will or might return in 2001

2002
wt (work's teams)
it (indie teams)

Vauxhall wt/it
peugeot wt
alfa it
lexus it
renault wt
toyota wt (all there motorsport kick off in 2002, f1)
volvo wt
ford wt
audi wt

(hopefully some 2001 production teams will go for touring class)

Vauxhall have already won 2001,
my only worry for 2002 is the fact that the etcc (euro series) will be using the super production rules!
so will the teams go for the euro instad of brit!?

BIG UP TO YOU VAUXHALL FANS!

Yes but...

How confirmed are the other teams (excluding Vauxhall & Peugeot) there is no reason to assume any other manufactureres (sp) are to enter. The Rover setup is shakey at best, Volvo (merely a rumour) as is VW.

don't count the chickens before they hatch!
