Nivola should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Early Years Of Western Australian Motorsport?

What i am looking for is any infomation on the early years of motorsport in western australia. As in Infomation on the Race tracks. Layouts and where they where and the drivers and cars of the time.

I know of Brooklands but have no info on it and same for the street tracks (applecross.)

I am also after any infomation on the street raceing of motorbikes between 1900 and 1950. I have heard of some TT races but cannot find jack about them.

Brooklands - which one? There were two - one in W.A, another in NSW.

This is the NSW one. A two km oval built near Werrington in New South Wales in the late 1920s. It was never raced on, and eventually the Cobham Remand Home was built on the southern end of the circuit.

A one mile tri-oval located near Perth, Australia. Used in the 1920s, its first race took place without any fences in place, so it was a bit of a financial disaster due to people entering without paying. It soon fell into disuse, although during the late 1930s the Harley Davidson Motor Cycle Club ran a few club events on the circuit.

A 2.4 mile circuit which was used once on 11th November 1940.

For more tracks like this from Australia, take a look at http://www.silhouet.com/motorsport/tracks/asia.html

You need to get hold of a copy of "Around The Houses - The History of Motor Racing in Western Australia" by Terry Walker. Published 1980 by Racing Car News Pty Ltd (no ISBN)
