BTCC predictions 2024

No-one's made a thread for this year so far, so here you go.

The idea is to post your five predictions (or as many as you like) for the 2024 BTCC season below.

These are mine:

1. The championship will be won by Sutton or Ingram again.
2. Sutton or Ingram won't make the championship top 3 at the end of the year.
3. Josh Cook will finish either 3rd or 4th in the championship, with more wins than last year.
4. At some point after the first round and before the end of the last there will be a new car, a new team, or an existing team or car will leave the championship.
5. Someone will win all three races.

A bit dark and ominous, but I think you might be onto something.

STEVN111 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
1. Sutton to be the first 5x champion, although with less wins than Jake Hill who will take the championship to the last round
2. Huff to win a race thanks to a reverse grid, start off strongly but ultimately be the lowest place Toyota
3. Thompson to stand in at a couple of rounds, securing a podium and a full time drive in another team for '25
4.Restart to be a front running team by the end of the season
5. Unlimited to pull out due to funding before season close, meaning DeLeons last BTCC season, but will go on to be successful in other categories

Bonus 6. Over 50% of the drivers get a win (Sutton, Hill, Turk, Morgan, Cook, Ingram, Cammish, Robo, ATS, Watson, Smiley)

Keeping tabs on my predictions - this one happened in the 2nd race of the season at Donington Park.

Looking at other people's predictions there's been a few successes and a couple of misses. Ronan Pearson has already taken his first career win, Rob Huff has won a race, and Bobby Thompson has made an appearance and impressed. We've had the same winner in R1 and R2 at every meeting though which goes against predictions.

With 18 races to go, it'll be very interesting to see if we TenTenthers get any more correct!

Mine are looking a bit of a mess , I'm halfway there with the Speedworks one although if you told me beforehand Moffat would win before Watson I would have been surprised. Don't think the multiple driver changes one has much chance of coming off either really.

If Hill wins the championship, then all mine will most likely be wrong, apart from the clause about Cook getting more wins than last year, which isn't saying much as he got no wins at all last year!

3 very very close to it at Donington
4 nope
5 I don't think that happened but several drivers made a good fist of it, especially today!

1. Yes - 4 as opposed to 5 in 2023
2. No - HARD was not on the grid at all; even if we take Unlimited as HARD under new guise (although we shouldn't), Deleon drove full season for them
