StuiE should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
V8 Lites

What happened to the rule that cars racing in that series had to be not the latest model, when i see AUIIs and VXs racing?

but that was some good racing at wakefield

The problem is that there are too many people with the latest equipment- imagine if all those who run latest spec cars in the Konica Sereis tried to pre-qualify for the big league?

Even saying that, there have been two new VS's built in the past 2 years...

I think someone has completely lost the plot with the V8 Lites. It has gone from a category of promise to a no mans land identity crisis.
The only thing to save teh whole shooting match is to introduce an English Premier League idea with the top 5 Konica drivers graduate to V8 Supercar and teh bottom 5 Supercars go back to v8 lites.
That'll scare the mid fielders.

It has certainly gotten too expensive, and the original intent of the series has now gone.

It went as soon as level one teams entered...

Relegation- I like the theory, but the bottom 5 Championship Series teams would go bust rather than go to the Konicas, and there probably aren't 5 Konica teams with the money/infrastructure etc that could permanantly move up.

That's true, apart from Bathurst, whenever there is a race in which the top Konica drivers get automatic entries, they never enter.

Another thought which could help out both Supercar and the Lites. Limit the number of days for testing to one or two per meeting (preferably one) but they can test wherever they like. I've seen this work very well in other formulas/series in respect to controlling costs and improving racing.
The reasons for this are many. To start with it costs a lot to run around in circles in the middle of the week until you get it right. This is where the one with the cubic dollars can get the jump on the rest.
It also improves the racing as it accentuates the unknown. Nothing worse than a team who runs the complete race 5 or 6 times before it happens.
Not much left to chance then, is there?
