Wow this is tough this week!
I was going to say Aston, had Alonso fimished, as both cars rose strongly from the put lane? Mclaren for Lando? Ferrari didn't optimise tyre strategy and made a meal of the late race driver swap. Don't know?!? |

Tricky one - most teams were 'meh' with both cars or only really achieved anything with one of them.
Red Bull - Won but Perez underperformed again (Max won with a car that had problems, Perez nowhere near him with no car problems). Mercedes - Bungled the strategy for Hamilton, Russell off the pace then Hamilton DQ. McLaren - Only got one car to the finish (although that's on Ocon rather than the team). Ferrari - Strategy wrong for Leclerc then Leclerc DQ Aston - Starting both cars from the pitlane is not a good look. Alpine - Gasly did ok, Ocon blundered into Piastri taking himself out in the process. Haas - Double pitlane start, did nothing after that. Williams - Got lucky with the double DQ ahead to get both cars into the points. Alfa Romeo - Largely anonymous throught the weekend. Alpha Tauri - Decent enough result for Tsunoda, Ricciardo nowhere. So between Williams for a double points finish and McLaren for a decent Lando result and a no fault Piastri retirement. Gave it to Williams. |

Gave it to RBR for helping Max to win, despite starting way back and him having brake problems. Plus a decent drive by Checo

Initially he was 5th, before Hamilton's DSQ, which is far better than his previous three results: 8th in Singapore, retired in Japan and 10th in Qatar. He also finished ahead of pole sitter Leclerc and that was before Leclerc was also DSQd. |

Yeah but Perez didn't have a pants strategy..... 'Underwhelming' is certainly becoming his middle name as this season has gone on. Mind you, Leclerc has started to fight him for it....

I think Leclerc has pipped Perez for the 'Underwhelming' title. He's only managed three podiums, his best being 2nd at Austria. Otherwise it's a couple of 3rd places at Baku and Spa. |

Difference beimg Perez has tanked in a title winning car as the season wore on even though he has won races.
hereas Leclerc had pulled off some stunning qualy drives and largely improved over the year, even though the Ferrari has been very ordinary over a race distance other than Singaz. I don't think the two are all that similar. |

I think one reason Leclerc comes across as so underwhelming is he has been portrayed as the saviour of Ferrari, and he was never going to be able to fulfil that role. While his talent is undeniable, he lack a certain something. In qualifying he can be quicker than Max and Lewis, but he makes mistakes when not under pressure and he is always a bit lost when the team flounders. Compare that to Carlos, who always has an answer in interviews when something has gone wrong, and who is assertive on team radio. He might not be lightning fast, but he does lift the team with his work ethic.
Checo on the other hand is in a car that might be the best ever, and is not second in every quali and race. That is underwhelming on a different level, IMHO. |

Qualified badly and only recovered to 5th on the road in the fastest car. It's a race he should have won given that Verstappen had car problems. If that's now considered decent for Perez then I think that shows just how poor he's been this season.
