Why does it seem that every time I reply to a message a "closed thread" symbol appears next to that topic? What exactly does that mean and what can I do/ not do to stop that?

Are you sure it's a closed topic icon, because I can't see any closed topics over the past day or two. Could it be that the icon has a black dot on it ? If so, this simply indicates that you have participated in that topic.

I've closed a couple of topics that were merely attempts to take an existing topic and start it over again, and one very acrimonious thread about Jacques that has now sunk out of sight (as the person who started it has now been banned.)
If anyone thinks the closed things should be opened, I will open them back up. |
