Austrian Grand Prix 2016: Grand Prix Weekend Thread
This weekend, the Formula 1 World Championship returns to a more traditional track in the rolling hills of Austria at the Red Bull Ring. Formerly known as the A1-Ring and prior to that, the Österreichring, it has had three basic incarnations, the layout used in the first Grand Prix in 1970, a modified version with the Hella Licht chicane from 1977 and then the version that is used now and was first introduced in 1997 as the A1-Ring.

Unfortunately I don't have any time to do a grand preview this weekend, but here are the circuit stats.

A kerb which puts you off driving over it but doesn't completely ruin your race like hitting a barrier is better than just a colourful line.

IMO the yellow curbs are to harsh for the car.
Ruin your lap YES but this is to much.

Amazing result for Jenson. Sadly, I imagine he'll go backwards quite quickly tomorrow if it's dry. But a great track, too. Wish I'd had the opportunity to race it in my day.

What a shambles! The curbs are sucking the boys in. We may be in for a new winner, based on who can build the stoutest car, an outcome related to survival more than skill and talent.

The barriers at Monaco, Baku and numerous other places are also pretty harsh. What's your suggestion?
