What score do you give it?

Changing places, fast corners, several surprises at the end and I'll even factor in possibly the loudest fans in the world in terms of what gets picked up on the TV. I don't mind saying that that atmosphere knocked up my enjoyment of the race a little. 8.

7. Not a classic, by any means - but a lot more enjoyable than a lot of recent F1 races. For the most part, it was a bit dull - but the Max versus Vettel fight livened it up, Danny's fightback was superb and the late tyre failure near the end really made it a lot more exciting.

a 7 for me. Lot going on here and there.. though sadly never for the lead...

Apart from the last two laps and the battle between Vettel and Verstappen earlier on, that wasn't an enthralling race.

gave it a 6, brilliant end but some slow bits after the Max Seb battle finished

7. Entertaining. Gets an extra point for Max putting Seb in his place.

Gave it an 8, probably ratcheted up a grade because of the atmosphere and crowd support. Never really a race for the lead, but strong performances thoughout the field, as well as localised outbreaks of idiocy (Toro Rosso, Sauber).....

Still loving that nobody has ever told Max that he can't perform certain manoeuvers, so he just does them.....I'll just overtake round the outside here.....

Really? I tend not to rate GPs that highly, but if you rate that one as a 2 and thought it was 'bad' (presumably because of Hamilton's domination), you probably need to give up watching....

I'd give it a seven. Good dice between Verstappen and Vettel. A bit of unpredictability at the end, shame for Kimi.

8. It kept me well entertained. Even the safety car couldn't spoil it, though it did deprive us of a few laps of racing.

A 4 will do. I expected far more from it.
Apart from the comebacks of Bottas and Ricciardo nothing much happened.

Verstappen/Vettel was fun for a while, though.

A bit of rain might have worked wonders, though.

Not necessarily the most eventful race but so well hosted.

Decided to try out the Snapchat app for the first time and enjoyed the fan videos, the red arrows planes, marshals playing table tennis, generally just people enjoying themselves.

Don't know if I will use it for every race but liked being able to see things from different vantage points...which added a few points to my score of 7.

Couldn't go more than a six, but I think it had a lot to do with the broadcast. Just when something got interesting they moved the camera to someone else.

How does that app work? When did you use it and what do you get during the race?

im new to it so there may be features i was missing out on, but from what i picked up there is a search bar in the 'Stories' section of the app. from there i was searching for 'F1'.

the first result i believe was the official section as it had a race car icon next to the result...i assume that icon indicated the official curated feed that snapchat created as part of their deal with FOM.

but as i said im learning as i go.

it was all user posted content which was changing/updating over the weekend... based on what people were posting to their snapchat accounts (linked with the appropriate tags i assume) and what time i opened up the app.

day before i was seeing people's videos from the concerts and by the next day it was replaced with stuff from the live sessions /on track activity taken from peoples seats, post race it was track walks/podium celebrations etc etc.

didnt see any official uploaded team content but that could just mean i wasnt looking at the right time or section.

if anyone else has more experience with this app and finding f1 content i would also like to know more.

perhaps but connecting with other f1 fans is delivery enough for me. and i imagine it will improve as more live spectators choose to share their experiences via the app.

not for everyone though and the beauty of that is it doesnt have to be either.
