As always Bella, thank you for starting a thread. Can't have it falling so far down the list so, bringing the times forward for later reference:
Friday: 10:40 - 11:55 01:15 FORMULA RENAULT 3.5 SERIES COLLECTIVE TEST 1; 15:55 - 17:10 01:15 FORMULA RENAULT 3.5 SERIES COLLECTIVE TEST 2. Saturday: 13:00 - 13:47 00:47 FORMULA RENAULT 3.5 SERIES RACE 1 (44'+1 lap). Sunday: 13:00 - 13:47 00:47 FORMULA RENAULT 3.5 SERIES RACE 2 (44'+ 1 lap - PIT STOP 5/16). Now where's that link for timing and scoring... |

the entry list hasn't been updated since that press release was... released, fwiw.
fauzy said he would probably be in the car for this race, so i guess that one's pretty certain especially since he can get some track time in preparation for the gp2 race. |

Adam Carroll, that sucks Chris Van de Drift has the talent to stir this series up a bit, its all about money I guess. I would have liked to see him in a top teams car. Lucky the guys at Superleague recognise real talent not cash enhanced talent

Autosport suggests that Carroll was 'working' for P1 anyway as a mentor/driver coach/test driver. So it makes sense really.

Will Ricciardo continue in FR3.5 for the rest of the season, or will someone replace him now he's at HRT?

The final WSbR event clashes with the Japanese Grand Prix. But equally I dont think racing for HRT means you've 'made it', so it might be worth him carrying on a trying to win the championship.

Rossi really needs to find some form here. He's gone well at Hungaroring before, and his championship hopes are slipping fast.

back to this weekend, and for the record it's really cold in budapest, it's colder than in the uk at the moment.
as for ricciardo... well, racing drivers are racing drivers. he's already shown at monaco that swapping between f1 and fr3.5 doesn't seem to be a problem for him. on that basis he'd be daft not to continue. he could possibly beat christian vietoris and his gp2/dtm campaigns for having the most epic season ever for a racing driver though! |

I'm surprised there isn't much more excitement on here about Carroll racing this weekend. An excellent result in Q1 for P7 on the grid!

thought it very amusing that adam carroll is considered a rookie! it's also interesting to see how well he's taken to the car compared to how well aleshin has.
very interesting race. very surprised charouz didn't get a bigger slap for trying to put wickens in the wall a la schumacher. surely worse than hartley's defending... |

Maybe it was because Charouz retired? I certainly thought Hartley's incident was clumsy, but not really worth a penalty. It was the tiniest of touches and he got his commupence when the wing fell off anyway.
Was mightily impressed with Adam Carroll. Expected him to be strong; but not THAT strong! |
