Villeneuve eyes BAR return!!!
http://www.itv-f1.com/News_Article.aspx?PO_ID=30891
Hey this would be soooo cool On the one hand I would like to see Villeneuve and DC together at BAR, but then again I hope they keep Sato and sign Villeneuve as Button's replacement. Then I can rejoice at watching JV wipe the floor with Sato Last edited by BIGMOUTH; 14 Aug 2004 at 10:10. |

Yes, David Richards proving the decision to not have JV for 2004 was nothing personal.
If DR decides Jacques is the best option for 2005, good luck to them. It'd certainly leave a lot of the Richards-bashers having to eat their words. |

Pity you don't let the facts get in the way of your prejudices.

it would be kind of amazing if he drove for them again
People would forever be LOOKING for signs of friction no matter what is really happening Personally i wouldn't like to see JV at bar again, mostly because i want to see him next to some new fast guy such as alonso....just to see who is best |

This would really be another huge twist in the 2005 line up tale.
This is absolutely unreal! |

Richards doesn't bear a grudge.
A few years ago Richard Burns took him to court so he could quit Subaru for Peugeot. Richards was quite happy to re-sign him for this year. |

Since ITV is quoting 'the sun', I think that possibility for this to be true is as strong as if I wrote it.

Despite its reputation, The Sun is often right.

I know JV wants to get back to F1 but is he really ready to have the F1 press looking for non exsistant problems? I think not.
The other question I pose is this. Why is JV being linked back to BAR? I do belive that Toyota are yet to announce there second driver and Jaguar have not announced anyone.Remember this is F1 and anything can happen and usally does. The Grumpy1 |

Amazing how many people want to see this arrogant, whining, primadonna of a driver back on a team that for years, he did absolutely nothing for.
Didn't Button and Sato's performance this year make you forget about this guy? Oh, I know JV didn't have a good car, I forgot... |

I'm no particular fan of JV, but you can't ignore the fact that the current BAR package is a much more competitive prospect than any he had the opportunity to drive.

I honestly reckon BAR would have been easily 2nd in the WCC by now if they had kept JV.

I basically have nothing against JV ....but i guess one must at least hold him morally responsable for continuing with the stupid contract made by his idiotic manager even once it became blatantly obvious that his sallary was holding the team back.In the grand scheme of things though, this is a minor complaint against him
.....And no,by saying the above i am *not* saying dave richards did the right thing by trying to force JV to break his contract |
