PWR... All change....
Whispers from the powder room are suggesting that the SuperCheap deal is already signed, sealed and delivered for the PWR squad, with able assistance from Castrol in a volume-driven deal.
The whispers that wont go away however, and were mentioned here a few days ago, were that PWR is not sourcing their Aurora powerplants from HMS in 2005..... instead Perkins Engineering will be the supplier to the Murphy and Weel cars... So LP has 5 of the strongest cars in the field (sorry Tratty...) with his engines, and his beloved Castrol oils corsing thru their veins.... It was suggested that Happy Tom's return may have forced the alternate supply to occur... HMS have not had strong results from their Auroras so far, while the CPR units have been good in a straight line.... Interesting times... |

It wouldnt suprise me...
wasnt it just last week that the PWR, Kmart, and HRT camps had to be seperated due to legal reasons (ie.. dividing up employees).. I would imagine with 8 cars under perkins then it would be the same deal.. and employees would have to be split how does it work ? |

Ummm, it's merely engines....
And with PWR owning Dencar, they have the best chassis in the Holden camp, with a powerfull engine.... A good move, I reckon. |

Perkins would only be an engine supplier. There could be more to this though. It seems one Steven Richards needs a franchise and the #43 needs a driver. More, i heard a rumour that Kees Weel and HRT (Skaife) are not on speaking terms.

Skaife/HRT need Dencar alot more than Kees need's them..... I'm sure Holden won't let their best team from 2004 go un-sponsored in some form. And GTR, in a way, i'm hoping that FPR doesn't let Brighty down..... Last edited by Senna05; 23 Dec 2004 at 11:23. |

Isn't the powder room a women's toilet?
Seems some spend their time in unusual places! |

In the male vernacular, its the place where the sinks are, and the males wash their hands, and the chat goes on.... couldnt think of a clever name for that part of a male bathroom... not even sure there is one.... |

Studies have shown that your hands are actually dirtier after washing them in a toilets wash room, than if you dont wash Most germs come from the sinks and door handles.

Interestting to note also that PWR would seem to be relatively short staffed compared to most other teams. Rumours circulating that the engineers have left, most notably Phil Keed, back to his prodrive stable with driver Jason Bright. With HMS servicing most moving components and engines being outsourced, one would assume the requirement for very few staff members. I couldnt see PWR having anymore than 5 full time staff compared to that of say FPR with well over 40 full time staff. Not to mention the contact workers when workloads are increased.

As for PWR, rumours have been rife all year that he's not happy with the service he is getting from HMS and wants to distance his team from that complete fiasco. |

I wouldnt be so sure of that information billy bigtime. Why would Kees Weel buy Dencar and sell it back because two other team owners/clients of Dencar had a dummmy spit?

Because PWR were probabaly getting the same chassis for a discounted rate compared to Skaife and Kelly Motorsports...
To avoid this happening (or this appearing to be happening), they sell it back. Think about it.. They on Dencar, so naturally the PWR cars could be prepared better then the HRT and KMS cars... Thus HRT and KMS spit the dummy, because they are obligated to use Dencar via contract for a duration of time... whilst PWR are using the situation to their advantage.. So avoid legal action and inhouse unrest in the Holden Motorsport world, Kees simply sells it back... to avoid a conflict of interest. |

thats why u buy a company to get the better deal. A contract is a contract and that has little to do with kees. If two customers complain and want to break the contract then kees can claim damages. you muyst live in a fantasy world jason

Aree with you both (Fish and Jason). Yep, that's why you'd buy the company, but with the three teams being so obviously tight to the mothership, any sort of dummy spitting/unrest/unrule and otherwise unniceness to each other would doubtadly make the mothership unhappy, thus I wouldn't be suprised if Kees was told that it would be a good idea to sell Dencar.

sheeesh guys, come on kees is a highly intelligent and respected business man, if he did sell it I bet there was a nice earn in there some where. And as far as unrest on the red side what do you think Wilkinshaw will bring.

What relationship did Dencar's previous owner (possible new owner) have with Tommy???
Sadly, I can see alot of screwey little happenings going on here, and it all seems to be with the internal collapse of HMS stability. Kees may have been the smart one to jump out of the way first. |
