Irvine Rumour
There is an as yet unconfirmed rumour that Eddie Irvine will be one of the inmates on the new series of celebrity big brother, which starts on channel 4 later this week.
This should make for interesting viewing, as he's not usually the shy and retiring type! |

They could offer images of that instead of F1 if the races are boring...

I don't really see it as Irvine's 'style'. He doesn't need to do it and why would you? He's not stupid. I hope he doesn't, but it will make little difference to me.

I think it is extremely unlikely.

Eddie wouldn't do it. He's a damn sight more intelligent than that!
As entertaining as Big Brother is to a lot of people, the contestants are all idiots! |

I'd watch it if Irvine was in there but he just doesn't strike me as stupid enough. Celebrity Big Brother is reserved for those Z-list celebs who are in dire need of a career revival, Irvine could just go hop into a racecar to do that.

All depends who the female contestants are i suppose
Although i can't see Eddie doing it, after all, isn't there still a warrent out for his arrest? |

I'd pay to see the police knocking on the Big Brother door to ask Irvine about his speeding moped.

I also think he's highly unlikely to do it, BUT.. he does have a huge ego, and may be wanting to raise his profile for a future media career?

I WANT to believe it - it would be the only thing that would make me watch - but... Surely not?

Big bro was interesting at first when few of them knew how to manipulate each other but has inevitably gone downhill (if that's possible many of you would prob say )
Eddie would be funny AND would provide some interesting amorous encounters (or knockbacks,LOL) |

I guess he could be high on the list of people that no one knows.
How many people outside motorsport would know him? But why do it, if it's true? |

Does Irvine still have an arrest warrant out for him?

Of course it's easy for Rennen to be dismissive of Big Brother, given his close connection with the first series back in 2000....

I'm more a telegraph man myself, but I have been known to sneak a look at the Sun online, when nobody is watching me! As for big brother, even I don't stoop that low (anymore) anyway, about those F3 laptimes...... |

IIRC Eddie Irvine played a small cameo at the beginning of the movie, "The Prince & Me". So it doesn't surprise me....
