rallycrosscraig has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
nice project on ebay - rust free Alfa Sud turbo (ex Steve Soper)

very interesting car has come up on eBay, a 70's modified saloon thats been hidden away in someones garage all this time, ideal for someone wanting to build a race Sud from a rust free shell perhaps?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3608493773...ht_1157wt_1399

It came up for sale in Jan at an auction house in Suffolk wish I'd seen it first time round:

I remember in early Jan seeing the car on ACA website, but at that time none of that history was shown. Sure that would have put the original estimate up! Nice project.

BTW, appreciate you are south of the Thames but ACA location is Kings Lynn, Norfolk!

that auction house gets some interesting cars. Cant help but feel this Alfasud will never justify the cost of restoration and when done out side of AROC not sure where you would race it... if I was going to go down that path I would find Chris Snowdon's old modsports GTV6 which used to dominate AROC in the 90's - seeing that at full chat round Castle Combe was a thing of beauty!

CSL would have been of interest! Any idea if it sold?

I think it flashed up as £3433.33 on ebay after it finished but who can tell.

At the ACA auction the hammer price for the alfa was £2,205. and for the CSL BMW £14,280. plus buyers commission etc.

That looked like a bargain, not sure what you'd do with it but a rust free alfa, or any car from the 70's is almost unique!

14.25 is more realistic, would have been a dog at the cheaper price.
Say what you mean Zef,70s Alfa? Unique!
My 86 Spring was a real fun thing to drive, even more so after getting Dave Ashford to play with the engine a bit, turned out to be pretty quick for a 1760 cc size engine, and it sounded lovely with the Ansa system bolted underneath.
