Well, the 9th of December 2004 will go down as a sad, sad day.
I rang the ACO today, and apparently my camping reservation was in too late for 4 places at Karting Nord. I ordered the camping places on June 29th, and today I heard we got relocated to Beauséjour again Down the drain for my plan with large scaffolding for trackside views It gives me the feeling you have to become a member of the ACO first to get some decent places |

No, nothing to do except order very early ; ask Bernard, I think he goes to the desk at PQs each year - he'll have to change his habits in 2005 |

Paddy, to be sure for 2006 just file your reservation during the PQ in june 2005 or maybe just as me earlier in may. It is ridiculous to make a reservation for the year after this early but it helps. |

For those of you who have suffered unfortunate reservation difficulties, you may wish to try to add your name to the ACO's ticket sales mailing list. You are given a client number, and my friend and I have enjoyed the two same seats in the Nissan (or whatever it is now called stand next to the ACO one) and the same parking space in Garage Blanc since 1992. We actually asked for specific seats and parking space. I receive an invoice at anytime from August (in one year) to January, pay by credit card, and it has worked fine to date. The invoice has come and gone for 2005.
I'll not deny that I fret all the way through the process until the actual tickets arrive!! John |

Sae for Bernard ; he's now known and they propose him the same places each year... even the Tertre Rouge camp's ward knows where he camps !
And Pascal too ! Same white parking lot, same GS place... same neighbours in the GS ! Last edited by Fab; 11 Dec 2004 at 07:14. |

Sounds like a good idea to be well known by the ACO then?
I certainly think its about time you joined Paddy! And as for the merguez - no trip to Le Mans is complete without at least one merguez sandwich. Its funny though, someone managed to get some for me here in England at a specialist market and I cooked a couple. The rest sat in the freezer for about a year before I threw them out. Eating them at home just isn't the same........ |

Bernard,
It has been simple. Since the seats and parking space were allocated to us that first year, we have received the the same each year thereafter without having to ask. It has been an automatic renewal and invoice. It's certainly worth making an enquiry. John |

I'm gonna check that with the ACO office ...
to speak frankly, I'm ready to book places for (at least) the next 50 years .. |

Ayse and all. I don't think ACO membership makes much if any difference. An attractive sounding young lady (well I can dream, can't I?) knocked me back yesterday when I phoned to find out if I would get the six camping spaces I tried to order for Houx Annexe even though I quoted my membership number....
Beausejour for us this/next year. (lookit, anticipating and salivating already) SO not a lot of chance getting on ITV next year then.... I thought I booked in July but she said it was a September booking...... Think I will order in January for 2006. Bill |
