So you want to be an F1 Driver

Who in this Forum has entered "So you want to be an F1 Driver"? I will admit now that I have.

I would do but i am not up to the necessary fitness levels. I hope to do some karting races next year though after a couple more practice sessions.

No seriously though, i'd love to have a go in an F1 car, but one from say 1997. I have driven (some) sports cars/racing cars/karts, and i'd love to have a go in an F1 car. Although I probably would'n't push at all, except maybe in slow corners, as its the karting i have done over the last 3 years which teaches you how to get a car out of shape and still keep it on the black stuff, im something of an oversteer addict, I just love driving a kart which is all over the place - maybe I should have a go in this years Prost!!! )

Well Bononi, when I was young you didn't need any money to get into Formula One.
(jeez, am I that old )

And did I have talent?
Boy, you should see me drive around the streets in my home town.
People keep shouting at me: 'Hey, who do you think you are, Michael Schumacher?'

I always answer: 'Entschuldigung?'
You should see their faces.

That's not very helpful; We don't know what the 'popstars' thing is either.

I noticed most posters on this thread are from the UK. Has it got anything to do with British television? Or something else that we foreigners don't know about?

POPSTARS!!! HEAR' SAY!!! im a mosher and would like nothing better than to burn every cd that these manufactured bands make, i am ashamed that i know what popstars is!!! it was one of the funniest programs i have ever seen - all those hopeless adutioners making complete arses out of themselves!!!!!

the only program that re-creates this reaction in me is "youve been framed" and "it'll be alright on the night"

It looks as if noone is going to tell us what this thread is about.
In that case, I think this thread does not belong here, in the F1-forum.

Can somebody move it to the Gravel Trap, please?

Ok there is going to be a TV programme in the UK where one person will be selected via a series of fitness tests and kark, single seater and tin top races.

The prize is a drive in the Thoroughbread GP championship.

It is the first programme of its sort although the Big Time in 1979 featuring Tim lee Davey saw him going Formula Ford racing and he was able to graduate through F3 and Group C.

Could unlock a natural talent but the popstars programme resulted in a load of **** because the band they made were poo!!!!
