spare tyres and wheels!
Having got me Ralt RT30 home and in the garage I have set about sorting the wheels and tyres. I've got a complete set of wets, a complete set of slicks, a pair off rears wheels with no tyre and a pair of fronts, no tyres.
Now finding out that tyres have to go, front left, left, and rear right, right. those of you in the know will know what this is. So, the question is how should I fit spares ? In theory you would need a spare for every wheel as they should only go in one place, so what is allowed, and what do most of you do about this beast of a problem. gadgit. |

sorry typo, if you mean you want a spare for each corner then yes that would make sense, but it depends what tyres they are and if they are directional

slicks are almost always directional and once used are definetly directional due to the movement of rubber

depends yoko slicks have a drive arrow but yiu go against that on the front of the car (on a RWD Race car) because they are not being driven and the greatest force is in braking, this is a delanination isue not realy speed related

i think you will find for a spare it is not that critical.look at fford there slicks are directional but at some rounds you can only have 1 spare front and 1 spare rear and i have asked avon this question and thay said it did't realy matter.so check with avon i think it is more important with wets thats why you can have as many spares as you like
