I'd suggest sizzle has got it wrong - if you want to sell to Mr Marshall get it all up front, because his 'due diligence' is thorough !!! Caveat emptor.

Cavvy while I agree with your past comments in other threads regarding Mr Marshalls due diligence, this is now the third high profile team ownership deal he has been involved with that appears to have failed. Sooner or later you have to wonder if he really does want to be involved, or are all V8 team owners crooks!

so are we going to have a change of livery before the season even starts? or is it purely management and financial support without a Forklift company decal whacked on?

Sounds like you may get minor Forklift decals but as a whole i think it is all behind the scenes stuff.

Anyone know why the Marshall deal fell through?....Again

Funny you ask sizzle, my initial reaction was Mr Marshall was gazumped - from my days of doing business in Queensland it was par for the course, accept it, go on.

Having used Waverley Forklifts services, I can only speak well of them, so long live DJR & more specifically Dick Johnson & all associated.

The new DJR livery already has Waverley Forklifts on it doesnt it?

Mr Marshall likely wouldnt have secured the purchase of the ex-FPR Frostymobile for his son to use at Britek had the DJR deal still been alive.

Engine supply at Britek are still allegedy a mystery

Theres No Limit to reasons why it fell over. But this is a much better deal.

From what I've heard this was the most financially viable in reality.

The deal is securing DJR's long term future. Charlie is no fool and will have DJR running ever so smoothly in no time as the new Director in charge of the business

would have to agree gtr, marshall snr seems to have spent his money on FPR 501, the first of their in house cars for his son to drive. Britek engines are to remain in house, still using the old Glenn Seton Racing heads from when GSR was taken over by Prodrive

Well money is no longer an issue at DJR!

How much does a 7 post shaker rig test in the US cost?

Well Morris hit the Shaker rig and a short stint in a wind tunnel within a week and that lightened his pocket 200 grand. That may have been mates rates too from his Nascar buddies.

Why is the new backer a sign of a DJR resurgence? What is new on the technical side, besides a stint in the wind tunnel?

They are still operating the 2004 and 2005 build chassis, with updates admittedly, while 888 keeps pumping our shiny new cars at every opportunity.

We shall see

you gotta make it sound good.

I'm sure Jim Beam don't want to hear that financial trouble is history but we still expect to finish 20th

Great News for DJR, this will give Steve the Meister Driver the back up that will propel him to the magnificent heights he is destined for.
Mark my words Steve is now a force to be reckoned with, he is super fit, he has the inspiration of being a father, and he is admired by the general public ,he will be a truly deserving champion.
Get on board Steve (the Meister driver)Johnson's bandwaggon now it will be an amazing journey.
