The only thing interesting to me is that the TOYOTAs don'yt seem to be too far off the pace.

A great time from Salo, and look, Ron, there's Heidfeld in front of Kimi....still.
I really don't think that the grid will look like this, but the MacCaroons had better find their speed. |

If Barrichello is 1 second quicker that the Williams then Ferrari should win the title before Canada....LOL
What is Salo doing up there. Was he testing qualifying setup? |

Bit of an iffy couple of sessions. Toyota seem to have a very powerful engine. Williams and Mclaren, I prey have a bit more in their pocket.

Ok, why? Why? Why did a Honda have to blow up. Sato was not able to keep the car on the track and BAR was unseen. Massa looked like another Montoya! Nice car control. Its a shame that in the US we dont see all these upstarts.

Well, it sounds interesting. But, us Aussies will just have to wait for qualifying to actually see anything. Thanks Channel 9!

well, i personally feel that Mclaren and Williams are holding back (or should i say prey ). It will be a very boring season if Ferrari run away with it again.
Was nice to actually watch practice although i doubt i'll get it every grand prix. Can't wait for qualifying, all shall be known then |

YIPPEE, 2002 is underway.
The greatest soap opera / sport in the world is back and the first episode is off to a bad start!!Last years Ferrari setting the pace at first seems very disheartening but it is worth remembering i guess that this is a car with a full season of development behind it which would surely be an advantage.Or are we just waiting to get well and truly kicked into the gutter when they compete with this seasons beast.Don't get me wrong, I love Ferrari, but I sincerely wish this will be another driver's year and not TGF's. Fingers are crossed and the next 2 days i can hardly wait for...................................................... GO JUAN !!!!!!!! OH...........And congrats to Mark Webber, nice work today Last edited by Alan Jones; 1 Mar 2002 at 09:22. |

I'm sure that the others were running higher fuel loads - especially BMW-Williams. Remember that they did it in Friday FP all last season.... And if they're running with as much fuel as they did during some Friday FP's last year, they'll be mighty fast come qualification! I cant wait 'till the last 15 mins of Saturday FP - then we'll know for sure whos had the most productive winter!! |

Friday practice... means chuff all as we know. Apparently it was wet for some of the session or something (can anyone who saw it confirm this?)
Salo's time to get into 6th is still very impressive though. |

This makes a mockery of all the concern about Ferrari coming here with the F2001. If this keeps up, Ferrari might as well develop the F2001 for next year as well.

Hi Guys
If Ferrari have this qualifying pace.. Will it last in the race? Remembering the tyre difference last year. I think DC will come thru in qualifying although I would be very happy if MS can show them all off with the old car. |
