Works Zytek??
I have been away from the computer for the past weekend and noticed that the Creation team put the Zytek on pole this weekend, but I also noticed that the Works Zytek team did not qualify/practice or race. What happened. If the Creation team can get pole, imagine the works team. Where did they go. Was it a Lemans only effort?
Thanks |

the official reason was "Delays in negotiations with sponsors". it is not a Le Mans only effort, as far as I know, they intend to run as many in LMES as they can and even go to some ALMS events to show the car in America.

Yes Id expect to see the factory Zytek effort back on the grid pretty soon. At least I hope so. With any luck they might even be out in time for their home LMES race at Silverstone?

But I would hope that they would run that car on other circuits or work a deal to line up a North American distributor for it.... The Zytek would be a killer on circuits like Mid-Ohio, Sears Point, Lime Rock, Mosport and Portland....that's where more than half of the ALMS points are accumulated...five of the nine events...and all of those tracks would be well-suited to the Zytek vs. the Audi.... Places like those is where they would "sell" the chassis to North American teams.... not necessarily at Road Atlanta...which does have the esses and some elements that are suited to the chassis, but not as much so as those I've listed above...and certainly not Road America, which is a very fast and long circuit..... But either way... Come To North America, Zytek!!!! We would love to watch you race over here!!!! Last edited by Tim Northcutt; 8 Jul 2004 at 22:13. |

I think that the car would be very suited to Laguna Seca as well. And I agree, bring the car to North America!

I have doubts about Zytek making it to the states this year .But I´m quite sure you will see at least one of these stunning piece of kit in next years ALMS serie for a full blown championship assault...
