New marshal!
Hi everyone. I've just found this website, not sure how, but I'm glad I have!
I'd like to come and do some marshaling... I've tried unsuccessfully to get down to Brands Hatch in the last couple of years, but am determined to do it this year. I thought maybe some local marshals would be able to point me in the right direction, or take me under their wing? I have emailed Peter Scilitoe, but haven't had a reply yet. |

Yeah, Brands Hatch is over there <<<<<<<<<<<<<<!!!!!
Good on ya, You will love it! What I did was to turn up at the circuit on a track day and speak to the Cheif Marshal (Adrian at Combe) and lo and behold a week later I was on post!! Good luck, Lee |

Peter Scillitoe is the contact for BRSCC so thats a good start. BARC have a few meetings there soon (incl Touring Cars) and their number is 01264 882210.
19 June is 750MC and you can volunteer through me, so PM me or phone 01206 502064. For volunteering on line for any meeting anywhere try www.marshals.org.uk |

Thanks all!
I'll cetainly get in touch Peter. Sorry for being thick, but what is 750MC? Having never marshalled any events with wheels, I have no idea what all the different clubs and categories are. Also, what other circuits/tracks/events are within a reasonable distance to attend? |

I marshall at my local track Castle combe, I can tell you i agree the 750mc meets are very good.
you are not far from me so you could get to these circuits Brands, Silverstone, Pembrey, Donnington, Thruxton, I do all these - and try a hillclimbe meet they are good somewhere like Gurston Down (Salisbury) or Goodwood |

750MC started many years ago to support Austin 7s and those that wanted to use the A7 chasis and engine to build and race "home made" racers. (Colin Chapman for instance)
Things have moved on and the racing side of the club supports all "low cost" racing catagories including Stock Hatch, Hot Hatch, Formula vee, Formula 4, Locost, Roadsports, 7s (caterhams), Road going bike engined cars, Kit Cars etc, as well as 750Trophy (for austin 7 s and similar old cars) and 750 Formula. Last weekend we ran 17 practices and 23 races at Donington, so its all good "frantic" fun. |
