Some great shots there (had a cheeky browse through to 13 ) I was marshalling down at island, the weather certainly was "changeable"!

Fantastic shots. The interesting weather really does add - well, interest.
Was it you whose camera died at Silverstone LMES? Have you got a cover now? I've ordered a Kata one (figured I had a lucky escape at Silverstone and don't want to push my luck) |

It didn't die, it had some problems at the Britcar 24, but essentially kept working. Now I use the waterproof trousers method, it's great!

That BMW shot is superb. It really captures the force it was coming down with!
I chickened out and dove into the car during the worst of the weather (only to protect my camera you understand). What I did get can be seen by following the link below. Some of the auto-processed shots have come up a little dark, but I do quite like the effect so haven't done anything with them yet. Opinions welcomed. EERC at Oulton Park |

Some nice shots b0d, the shot of the yellow 360 really captures the conditions well, as does the moody F40 (front) shot...

oh wow!! love those shots Mike
The M3 is my fave. I really like the large rain droplets and the fine spray as well. Were you using flash as some of the droplets have really caught the light (I assume you were not!) |

What's very odd about Oulton Park is that unlike other circuits I've visited even when the weather is diabolical the pictures always look great. Why is that? Is it cos it's sheltered (and framed) by the trees so you never feel lke you just want to die and go home

the waterproof trouser method...
1. don waterproof trousers 2. stick camera down trousers (with biggest lens attached) 3. shoot from the hip (and impress the girls at the same time) (use natural light only - flashing will get you arrested) |

Stunning pictures, Mike. The light especially is quite superb; I think it's what makes the difference between a good picture and a very good picture. I was at Oulton too getting bombarded with hailstones! My efforts are here.

I am surprised to see an AU Falcon with a V8 Supercar rear wing at Oulton Park.
Must have got very lost in the rain. |
