SuperGP on soon - Are the A1GP cars going to be there or not? Or will it be a Cochrane only show?

Even teams personel in a1gp do not know what will happen. The latest story is that teams (owed a lot of money) have been asked to send their team members to Queensland. The team I know, refused to pay their own fare so TT offered to pay the fares. This is despite all those owed money (£milions) being promised it nearly every week for the last six months. Think TT is desperate to get to Queensland as there may be some major problems (legal??)for him if they don't.

#25 for the win, with #9 and #4 in the minor placings... the improvement in those cars is out of sight!

The A1GP category must be pretty screwed right now.
To only get the court order to release the cars "now", means they launch into a season with cars "as raced" since last season...that's right, no preparation since last raced. No preparation, no practice or testing, and no doubt there will be missing teams as sponsorship procurement would have been next to impossible with "nothing to show". |

Holdsworth and Caruso to have strong runs - hopefully with that awesome livery still on one of the cars.

I hope that livery stays for them too. It would be good if both cars adopted it.
Bare minimum the blue headlights! |

I'd expect the Jim Beam boys to turn it on infront of the home crowd too, after the dissapointment of bathurst Jnr and JC will be out to make ammends.

IF the A1GP side of things doesn't happen then it could be all change on the format front for the V8's at Surfers as well.
I'd be really surprised if a contingency plan isn't ready if needed. Maybe longer races or at least one much longer. Could make life VERY interesting. |

Any Long range weather forcasts?
with SVG's performance in damp/wet conditions at Bathurst he might be worth the nod. |

Looks like the Black Wiggle will get his wish, with the v8 now going to be the only show on the Gold Coast. He has always wanted them to be the main show, well he has got it now.

Well could only really be Triple F (Dean Fiore) or Rod Nash Racing (Tony D'Alberto), but I wasn't aware that either was in a situation to pull out.
Dean Fiore seems the most likely as he had virtually no sponsorship until he put Troy Bayliss in the car. Didn't think he was that bad financially though. Can't remember there being too big an accident at Bathurst to repair either. Something is amiss... |

Confirmation expected shortly. Guess this could be the last event to be held on the streets of Surfers Paradise. |

Fiore has a sponsor lined up for Barbegello, all of that money could end up going towards the fine for not showing up on the GC.
Where is the confirmation of 28 drivers? |
