now that you reminded me...
On hindsight...it is pretty amusing and ironic! To think he looked so happy to warn people about stalling cars on grid...he stalled his... Sorry...i know it happens...but its still funny...DC predicting his own shortfall.. |

I saw that too, Tim. I really worried that evryone would Launch Control into the stalled cars, but fortunately this did not happen.
Since DC ended up in the points and was in fact the only McLaren driver so to do, he had the last laugh in the end. |

I don't thik he had the last laugh. A Mika win would have left DC 3 points closer to TGF.

I don't see anything funny about this at all. While DC's stoppage was not dangerous, HHF's stoppage surely was, and it just goes to show that drivers will have to be careful about this launch control, as they still have to be ready to avoid a stalled car on the grid.

I agree with Valve Bounce, frentzen's stallment was way more dangerous than DC's was, and I can't find the fun of that. It can happen to anyone, even to the so called great TGF, now I remember some guy stalling at a very important race in 1998 at Suzuca, but I can not remember his name right now, this bloody memory of mine.

In fact Frenzy said his Launch Control did not engage and he was able to start only when he disengaged it and started the Normal Way.
This was not his fault. And it certainly was no laughing matter to anyone who remembers numerous horrendous accidents caused by stalled cars on the grid. If you think big crashes are funny you should go see Driven and leave the racing to the big kids. |
