Nissan Cherry Turbo - Blank Cam?
OK, just to get it clear, this is Greek to me, but my lad has asked me to post this for him, just in case anyone can help.
He has a Cherry ZX Turbo 1985 which he's done up (very nicely too, I might addd....), but he wants a blank cam - unground. For what its worth, the engine number is apparently E15ET, model no. N12. Anyone got any ideas where he might get his blank cam - unground? |

Hold on... I inadvertently found a Datsun/Nissan owners club type site a while back.
I'm slightly stunned there's any Cherry ZX Turbos still in existence to be honest, so if your lad can get it up and running he'll have something pretty rare... Here you go... http://www.ntoc.co.uk/ The Nissan Turbo Owners Club. |

I would call up the big cam manufacturers (Comp Cams, Crane Cams, and the like) and ask them, I am sure they would be happy to sell you an unmachined cam blank. Robert

Thanks garcon and noise boy 2. I'll pass the word on. He has most certainly got it up and running. Fully restored, resprayed, lowered and tarted up (he's only 19.... ). He also has the respray etc. fully documented in digital pics. He took it to a recent Jap car show and had it photographed - the pic has subsequently appeared in a magazine on Japanese cars. I'll have to post a pic of it sometime - I've certainly wondered as to its value - they're certainly not ten-a-penny, that's for sure!

Sounds like a nice littel project he's completed there. good on 'im. That link I posted - ntoc - the club was originally formed for the Cherry Turbo and then expanded to other turbo nissans, so I'm sure they'd be interested in pics/details of the car as well as being able to help.
