2005 Championship and race win Predictions?
I know we've already had a poll predicting the champion, but I think it'd be nice for people to try to predict the top 5/10/15/20 (as many as you like) and guess which riders will be capable of winning races. At a guess:
And it's no exaggeration to say that any of those guys could win races..... |

I think Andrew Pitt is gonna be a real dark horse this year, he has been so quick in testing aswell. You have to remember he has never really had a chance on a superbike also, he went straight into GP from SS and then came back and was quick instantly last year on the Yamaha, he is class and i really hope he does well. Pains me to say it (anotehr Aussie front runner!!) but he is a class act, if only we could ahve some Brits showing similar determination apart from Toseland. I really think James Ellison should have been in WSB this year insead of wasting his time in GP.

1.Vermuelen
2.Haga 3.Corser 4.Kagayama 5.Toseland 6.Chili 7.Pitt 8.Gimbert 9.Laconi 10.Muggeridge I'm not sure why people have such high expectations of the Ducati guys. That bike hasn't performed well against proper works opposition in the last couple of years, and neither rider is anywhere near as good as the best guys out there. Their only advantage is experience of their bike (only Vermuelen and Gimbert out of the real contenders can claim this) and Pirelli tyres (which several big names are new to), but I can't see that being enough, especially as the season goes on. |

Corser / Laconi / Kagayama / Vermulen / Haga
Suzuki will be team champions, winning the most races Kagayama will win the most races but Corser will be more consistent Haga will take first win for returning Yamaha team early mid season Kawasaki will take some podiums Ducati struggle early but come strong mid season Toseland won't win a race this season! |

Reports have it that Corser is
A) Not fully comftorble on the bike B) Only doing what he has to do to be ahead - Do I feel a "Steve Hislop" season - every race won on the last lap? Unlike, however Supersport, IIRC about 7/10s of a second ahead of his team mate and a second anhead of the rest... |

I thought that was Valentino Rossi's trademark (Phillip Island 2004 for example)? |
