Spyders
Under the new prototype rules do you think Spyders like the 512s could be popular or effective?

Well how do you define a spyder?
An open topped car? Last edited by pirenzo; 17 Dec 2004 at 20:44. |

That's an interesting thought. The benefits of an open topped car rule-wise without the aero disadvantage.
Hmmmm....... |

What would be the point? You take the strengths of each and throw it out the window with the spyder; the lower fronal area of the open top car (adding a windscreen) and the sleeker .cd of the closed top (cutting a draggy hole in the roof). A spyder would be disadvantage city.

exactly, its like having a giant lift and drag generator on top of the car, like a big louvre. There would be no point unless you were just there to sell cars and had a showman like Jean Alesi driving around stopping and waving to the crowd before carrying on.
