Do I take it that Mr Morris didn't want to bend his new VT before other, more important Championship races?

But still they go to Indy and still half the cars come away from it looking more like banger racers...

Yep, Morris woosed out, and so did Bowe who had a frighteningly slow EL...

Next year will be interesting...they will be air frieghting the cars direct from the GC to New Zealand...i wonder who is going to run old clunkers or risk their good equipment?

Great Photos

I was there and the V8's went against my first thoughts of too tight a circuit to be interesting and put on a real show. Yes some didn't bring the latest in machinery but can you blame them. I remember the good old days when not only did you bring an old car you put a carby on it, painted it in cinovis colours and dragged the sucker to Bathurst. It looked OK, went poorly but only stayed on the track for 4 or 5 laps. Mission completed.

Ah, but then came Bathurst 94 when somebody forced upon Moffat a DJR fuel injection system and his car finished 8th...
