Just a reminder that there is three hours on live FTA coverage on SBS on Sunday from Queensland Raceway.

High_OCTANE_HSV should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
There was some pretty good racing on yesterday. Managed to watch all of it on their live stream which was nice. The finish to the Excel race was pretty awesome.

Does anyone have any info on the regulations for the Replica Tourers class? From the outside they seem to be awfully similar to the Queensland Touring Car category, but I'm wondering if they have any difference in technical regulations. Their facebook page doesn't seem to shed much light on the topic so does anyone here happen to know?

SBS will be showing the Hi-Tech Oils Series on Sunday from 1pm.

With all the talk of the move to Stan killing off the ARG tour, how does this series, with FTA TV, compare?

The Sunday is a replay. The live coverage is on SBS Viceland 6pm-9pm Saturday.
Comparison with ARG?This is really grass roots. One “professional” series in TA2 that is more controlled than its ARG counterpart. However there are a lot of common competitors and the field this weekend is bigger than the recent TransAm grids at ARG.This weekend they are also running a field of the “historic” TransAm cars. The other 5 categories are pretty much motor racing landfill from a spectators point of view although that is irrelevant to the competitors.
The series announced this week a 5(!) year extension that involves a doubling of free to air TV coverage.Sponsorship for that confirmed.
Any comparison I might want to make to ARG would possibly be libellous to the owners of that series.

Oops Sorry. I only realised it was a twilight meeting yesterday evening.

I thought it was fantastic, started watching the live stream on their youtube page from 12pm and it was non stop racing until 8pm. Add to that the racing held at The Bend on Sunday on 7plus from 8am through till about 4:30, I've seen more racing in one weekend than I have from supercars the entire year.

I love the face that the low level grass roots guys are filling the void left behind by the ARG group and Supercars now that they're on pay tv. As a soon to be grass roots racer, I couldn't ask for anything more. Hours of track time and live and FREE tv coverage, it doesn't get any better.

A very wet and gloomy Calder Park provided some good racing after most of the morning and early afternoon was lost due to the inclement weather.

For those who missed it will be on Speedweek next week.
