Best F1 news site?
I've been using http://f1.racing-live.com/ for my F1 news, ignoring it's shortcomings because I couldn't be bothered looking elsewhere. But lately they've been getting worse, hell they've only just picked up the Hakkinen story. And you'd think they would have taken that time to actually read the full interview, but no, they just pick out the same sensationalised quotes as most others.
So which FREE site do most people think is the best. Must be free, I don't pay for my internet porn so I won't pay for my internet F1 news. |

I have tried many but recently been stuck with this: http://www.newsnow.co.uk/newsfeed/?name=F1
But most sites churn and churn the same story over and over |

Ever since www.f1-live.com has become www.f1racing-live.com the quality of the stories has dramatically lowered. Quality, the news are still late. They're still good at "testing times" things or stuff like that, but other than those... nah...

The problem is the "news" on many sites is poorly researched, cut-and-paste from press-releases, exaggerated or simply made up.

The best idea is to go to Google and create a news alert. That way, you'll be getting news from multiple sites. Yahoo has the same, but they rarely have any proper news, methinks.

If you are prepared to pay a small fee per month www.atlasf1.com is an awesome site, especially for images that are high res.

Atlas is a great site, but I cant (like many) justify the expense when its everywhere else for free.
Good luck to those that are members though, as they have access to some great stuff. |

I'm paying monthly seeing the $A is good compared to the US dollar. I'm willing to pay that as I love looking at great hi res images.

I read www.f1racing.net for day-to-day news and www.grandprix.com for articles/opinions. I think www.grandprix.com in particular is a very good site.

try www.f1db.com - they have all the websites linked so the news shows as many entries but it's updated constantly

You might also want to try www.michelinsport.com There also used to be www.michelinf1.com but they have merged them into one big motor sport site that covers anything that Michelin are competing in.Bridge stone also have a deadicated F1 site but the address escapes me at the moment.
The Grumpy1 P.S. The Michelin site covers all of F1 not just there teams. Last edited by grumpy1; 11 Feb 2004 at 10:53. |

Besides pitpass and autosport, I also keep an eye on www.crash.net which has quite a bit of F1 as well as news from all types of motorsport.
