Macs on the 3rd row again, Montoya on second row (about time), and go the Sauber's.
Finally, Button-nose, what are you doing? |

I'll get the less important points () out of the way first...Bernoldi out does Verstappen again, Marques closer to Alonso (what on earth was Tarso doing on his out lap? Selected neutral or something? :P), Kimi ahead of Heidi...Interesting battles between teammates once again..
However.. Those ruddy Macs HMMMMMMM...James Allen commentating, and now Montoya on the second row. Will my Montoya heroics prediction come true? In what shape or form? (preferably heroics that takes off both Schus, Rubinho and DC, so Mika can win :P). Enough of my debauchery, I'm going to find a violinist and cry "he's not driving in 2002" tears for Mika |

Certainly surprising to see the Williams go so well here. Anyone else found it peculiar that DC stopped in the last corner so that TGF and Ralf among others had to abort their final lap, only to get going again in time for Mika to complete his?? (Not that it made any difference to Mika's starting position.)

I thought so too, R, it was a very odd place to go so wide. Anyway, its all part of the game, as TGF tried to do something similar when he crashed at the first corner of the Austrian GP last year, to try and stop the race.

Yeah...noticed it too...
His times were clearly not coming, so he gave up at the last corner...thread into the gravel and park his car up on the outside track...thus bringing out the yellow which means many drivers had to abort their laps...then he moved away just in the nick of time to let Mika had a clear (but slow) lap. The stopping of the car is definitely not related to car problems..its just David resting his foot on the brake...HOW SPORTING OF THE MCLAREN TEAM... |

Is it too early to start describing Button as 'damaged goods'?
Thrashed by Fisi again.... |

And Panis? No way for him, when Villeneuve has no mechanical problems he always trashes him....
And in spite of the french's highly rated (why I guess?) skill as test driver, this BAR, built around him, is the slowest ever! |

I think its gonna be good. I expect Montoya to give TGF fits and I bet Coulthard's race pace will be better than his qualifying (That is if all the nuts are tightened on the suspension)

I've seen some pretty far fetched posts on drivers intentions, but that one gets the Gold Medal for foolishness. |

I don't expect Montoya to last half the race. Ralf will probably have a silly mechanical problem, and Michael will take the win.
If Coulthard's lucky Montoya will take a Schumacher out, and he can come through for a 1st or 2nd. |

That's true. Though in a sport where people have tried to kill each other (or at least have been accused of it), pretending to "spin" (in fact, he just went wide and stopped) to help your team-mate wouldn't surprise me. Though we will never know for sure, as they of course will never admit to it if that was the case.
